Teresa Hill is a USA Today Bestselling Author who writes big, complicated, emotional romances with flawed, messed-up characters trying to change for the better and finding love.\n\nGrowing up, she was a small town, Daddy’s girl and a tomboy who loved to climb trees. Her father was a lifelong reader of Westerns (and always wished she’d write one — sorry, Daddy, just not my thing). \n\nAs a child, her favorite Saturdays were spent with him prowling through an old, dusty used bookstore, trying to find romances with covers that weren’t too sexy, so her father would let her read them. (Which is how she found Harlequin romances, who later became one of her publishers.)\n\nShe found her husband while they were both working their way through college. (He might have been her boss.) She remembers thinking so clearly, “What are you doing here? You’re much too early. I have things to do before I’m ready for you.”\n\nBut she married him anyway. He never tried to keep her from doing anything.\n\nShe wrote and sold her first romance when they lived on a little island off the South Carolina coast, where their son and daughter were born.\n\nNow, she and her husband live in the mountains with a collie princess, a German shepherd and a very loud, demanding 18-pound cat.\n\nShe believes everything in life – the good or the very bad -- is better with someone you love, which is why she writes romance novels.
